President Trump delivered a God-and-country-infused speech recently at the National Prayer Breakfast focusing on inspiring stories of people who have struggled, but held onto hope and faith. It was generally well received.
However, as if a dearth of anti Trump material existed, the "Morning Joe" team engaged in a head exploding diatribe this morning mocking the President's "faith."
They are seriously outdoing themselves in the race to soil credibility. The self righteous indignation of Mika and Joe was startling...even for them. Apparently, they don't realize it's contributing to a Left wing meltdown. A meltdown that poses a greater danger to the Republic than Trump may be. These wild rants of progressives journalists continue to undermine the stability of our system, and faith in our governmental and media institutions.
This derangement is fueling maddening double standards. For example, the Left spent all of 2017 criticizing law enforcement. In 2018, investigative journalists are actually advocating against the release of highly relevant and suspicious law enforcement documents related to wiretapping and secret FISA courts, while at the same time, bestowing the benefit of every doubt to the motivations of suspicious FBI agents.
It's truly mind boggling how these inconsistencies are either ignored or rationalized. Not only has the mainstream press abdicated their journalistic responsibility, they are inevitably responsible for much of Trump's popularity. The irony is that the Trump Presidency would likely not be possible without this lunacy.
